JURASSIC SOLAR+

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Jurassic Solar+ began development in early 2021. The project includes approximately 1,200 acres of land located approximately 2.7 km west of the Hamlet of Iddesleigh, Alberta, in Special Area No. 2 and Cypress County. The project is located in Townships 20 and 21, Range 10, West of the Fourth Meridian, on privately owned, cultivated land. The Project area has a strong solar resource, characteristic of Alberta, and will generate clean energy over its 35+ year lifetime.
Jurassic Solar+ is comprised of the 220 MW solar power plant project, “Jurassic Solar”, and the 80MW/160MWh battery energy storage system (“BESS”) project, “Jurassic BESS”.
The Jurassic Solar+ project will involve installing solar PV modules, inverter/transformer stations, a battery energy storage system, an electrical collection system, access paths, and the construction of a Project Substation to connect to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES).
